Scratchbuilding by Brooks Stover

Brooks Stover is another of S-scale's prolific builders. Brooks has his own web site in which he documents many of his builds. You can view a listing on this page. Many of his projects have also been documented in various model railroading magazine articles. Below, you will find some examples of his fantastic work.

Structures

Brooks has made available to us a PowerPoint presentation that was done for a clinic describing how he conceives and builds structure models using primarily paper-based materials such as mat board, card stock, adhesive transfer tape, micro-tape, and strip wood. He has used these techniques to build over 50 structures from tiny sheds to large coal tipples. You can download it here (~31MB file).
