Name:
Wooden Container Flat Car Load
Model Introduced:
1996
Product Type:
Wood Kit
Finish:
unpainted
Notes:
This laser-cut wooden kit was designed for use in narrow-gauge cars, however, as shown in the photo, it works well for standard-gauge. The load is 24 feet long, and the kit includes blocking and bracing. It uses peel-and-stick backing for ease of assembly. Ed used sandpaper to remove the laser-burned edges to make them look like fresh-cut wood. Some wood glue was required on delicate parts that broke when handled. The load is shown in a Rex Engineering gondola lettered for an N&W G1 class.
