The clearance gauge is a tool to assist in building S-scale model train layouts, modules, and dioramas. Wherever track passes by a bridge, tunnel, structure, trackside object, or equipment on an adjacent track, the gauge can verify that rolling stock will be able to move unobstructed. It is not intended to be used as a gauge for building track work itself; just for positioning surrounding items alongside track. This Classic Era Clearance Gauge version is intended for use with equipment found in the "classic" era, which spans from 1920 through 1969.
