Notes:

According to the S&P Distributors 1968 catalog, this is a freelance model, but is close to the NYC class "D" locomotive. Noted NYC modeler, Dick Karnes, confirms this, as he had to do extensive work on his model to get it to match a NYC D-1a.

Ed's model is complete, except for the couplers, headlight lens, and numbers on the number boards.

Ed Loizeaux' photos may be of the Putt Trains re-run of this kit, as Putt used Mashima motors and nylon worms and gears. The original Rex kits came with Pittman motors and metal worms and gears.
