Notes:

This was Omnicon's first locomotive. This model was specifically based on the Missouri Pacific. However, it was generic enough to allow the modeler to enhance it to fit certain other prototypes. It has scale 63" drivers. Since the drivers on this model are spaced as per the prototype, it could mean that the flanges may hit each other and some minor filing-down of the flanges may be required. This is especially noticeable when running this engine on somewhat tighter curves. The mechanism was available separately in 1985. The tender has holes drilled into its floor, presumably for the installation of a down-firing speaker in the tender.

Painted for the SOO Line.

Andy reworked his model by building a new tender for it, putting a K-3 specific cab on it, building a new pilot, rebuilding the smokebox front, re-detailing the boiler, adding new engine truck, and making the Stephenson valve gear.

The company sold a number of chassis separately.

This model has had some changes made to it by Jack Troxell. After that it was painted by a professional custom painter, which also included the creation and application of the custom decals to label it for the MKT.

Made of heavy brass construction, with some parts being castings. These kits were released in four parts. A customer had to buy part 1 (first section of the locomotive), then later part 2 (the rest of the locomotive), followed by part 3 (the drive train) and part 4 (the tender) before all of the kit was accumulated to actually build the model. The model did not run well.
