Notes:

This operating car was produced through 1964 in only one variation. It has an inexpensive motor ink-stamped "JAPAN" that operates on 9 volts. When running this car, the operator must limit the power to the unit as many transformers can apply voltages up to 15 volts to the track. The unit came in a Kleer-Pak carton, as shown in the second photo. The miniature driver of the #23743 is the same unit as used on the #779 Barrel Loader. There are very few examples of this model. The very rare unit that has "743" in black lettering on each end of both sides of the unit instead of "23743" has been seen sold for $10,000.
