Pope Imagineering took pre-orders to produce their items. They tended to offer them at local train shows in the Chicago area, so if you lived there at the time and were involved in S, you might have been able to pre-order or pick these up. These were not one-off models, but they were produced in small quantities. The prototype cars were 48 feet long and 9'4" wide. The model scales out at 48' long and 9'2" wide.
