Notes:

The locomotive consists of three units. The A- and B-units are powered, offering 24 wheels of traction! That should simulate the 8,500hp of the prototype nicely. The third unit is the fuel-oil tender. These engines were not known for their fuel-efficiency, so a separate tender was required. Road numbers 3 and 8 were version 1, and 18 and 26 were version 2. Overland Models initially announced the project in the May 1984 issue of Model Railroader magazine. Eventually the project was taken over by River Raisin Models, who actually made the product available in November 2001.
