This kit was released as part of the 2009 O Scale West + S show, sponsored by the Bay Area S Scalers. An updated version of this kit was released in 2020. A separate add-on bulkhead kit is also available for this car. If you already have this car but want to improve or replace the decking, the company now also makes the separate laser-cut wooden decking. Since Wiseman Model Services bought V&T Shops' freight car product line, this is a revamped and re-released version of their kit #S-33.
