The Kinsman catalog flags this as a Northern Pacific caboose, yet the photo they show in that same catalog (see the second photo) has it decorated for "D. & W.". Kits were available from Kinsman with ($6.95) or without ($3.95) trucks. The version without trucks also did not include the bolsters nor the coupler pockets, as those were intended to be used by A.C. Gilbert modelers. Bob Blois reported that he had sold 600 of these kits by 1972.

From the Kinsman catalog. The model was owned by Frank Titman and lettered for his private railroad the "Delaware & Western", which was Frank's layout previous to his better-known "Spiral Hill" layout.
