Holt Apgar relettered his model for the B&M. This B&M caboose models one of an old series of mixed design wood cabooses built in the early 1900s, renumbered into the 104000 series after 1916, and given steel underframes in the 1930s. The B&M minute-man herald (Highball Graphics decal) was used just after WWII, and the yellow handrails date back to the early 1950s. All of the 104000s were retired by the mid 1960s. Light weathering was done with Testors rust and brown enamels; flat clear lacquer sealed the paint and decals. Flat black enamel finished the cab end details as per the prototypes. The appearance is mid-1950s.
