One of the things people have commented on about this run of the ScaleTrains cabooses is that the conductor is facing in the same direction as the end of the car that has the marker lamps. Conductors watch over the rest of the train, not necessarily what is behind the train. So, Rich was able to snap off the cupola and place the figure in the other seat. He mentioned that the only tricky part was to get the stack brace (the part that holds the smoke stack to the end of the cupola) in its holes when putting the cupola back on.

Rich reported that swapping out the AF coupler and wheels for the scale ones that are included in the box was a 10-minute task. He mentioned that there are two pads included for the scale couplers, but the Kadee-style couplers included in the box matched the coupler-height check gauge perfectly without the pads.
