Interurban Locomotives

Below are all of the reports that we offer for viewing all of the known S-scale interurban locomotive models. Most reports show all of the entries we have, but a couple of reports don't due to their filters (indicated). We define an interurban as any self-contained locomotive that runs on electricity (typically overhead wiring) and is generally used for street running and/or short distances between towns and cities. So, this listing also includes trolleys, trams, and streetcars (including Presidents Conference Committee, a.k.a. PCC). They typically carry passengers, but some might carry freight. Some are capable of pulling non-powered cars, but they are typically not seen doing so. This web site covers more prototype information.

  1. By Model Manufacturer
Entries are sorted by manufacturer, then by road name, and then by road number.
  2. By Model Manufacturer ID
Entries are sorted by manufacturer, then by the product ID, and then by road name and road number. This report is limited to entries that have a known manufacturer ID set.
  3. By Road Name
Entries are sorted by road name, then by configuration type, and then by model manufacturer.
  4. By Type
Entries are sorted by type, then by road name, and then by road number.
  5. By Gauge
Entries are sorted by wheel gauge, then by road name, and then by road number.
  6. By Year Prototype Introduced
Entries are sorted by year, then by type, and then by road name and road number. This report is limited to those for which the prototype-introduction year is known.
  7. By Year Model Introduced
Entries are sorted by model year, then by the manufacturer, and then by road name and road number. This report is limited to those for which the model-introduction year is known.
  8. By Material
Entries are sorted by the dominant material from which the model is made, then by the manufacturer, and then by road name and road number. This report is limited to those for which the material is known.
  9. By Photo
A mini photo album of sorts, this report shows the primary photo for each entry. Click on a photo to see that model's details and possible additional photos. The photos are sorted by type, by manufacturer, by road name, and then by road number. This report is limited to entries that have at least one photo set.
  10. Missing Photos
This report lists all of the entries for which we do not, yet, have a photo. If you have this model and can take a photo of it, please contact the webmaster. The entries are sorted by model model manufacturer, by configuration type, by road name, and then by road number.
  11. All Entries
Entries are sorted by model manufacturer, type, road name, road number, model year, and product ID, with the second page showing the selected model's information.
  12. All Entries (text only)
Entries are sorted by model manufacturer, type, road name, road number, model year, and product ID, all on one page (no details, no photos). This is handy for when you just want a basic list of what has been produced.
  13. Downloadable Text File
Entries are sorted by model manufacturer, type, road name, road number, model year, and product ID. Note: To import or open this file in a spreadsheet software application, use the hat, ^, character as the column separator (see the "6" key of your keyboard). Most spreadsheet applications will let you pick the separator or delimiter; if not, open the file with a text editor and replace all "^" with a character of your choice, and then try it again.

Notes

type = the physical design and look of the prototype model.

gauge = AF (for A.C. Gilbert-style track systems), S (a.k.a. "standard-gauge", 4' 8-1/2"), and the narrow-gauges Sn3, Sn2, Sn42.

product ID = the manufacturer-assigned product number, SKU, or PLU.
