An old-fashioned set-up of American Flyer track and equipment, on a grand scale. Run trains the way we used to do when we were kids.
This two-day event, put on by members of the Susquehanna S Gaugers, starts on a Saturday at about 8am. The layout is built and all of the kinks are worked out. It is set up on portable tables in a converted barn that is used as a photo studio the rest of the year. Breaks for food are planned and the day ends at about 5pm. On Sunday, trains start to run at about 8am and go until 3pm when tear-down starts. Everyone brings a dish and the barbeque is run. Photos and videos are taken of the event. If you want to see a lot of A.C. Gilbert trains run in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to be.
