The company has a 24' x 46' S-scale layout on their premises, which is open during the Christmas holidays to the public. The layout has been in operation since 1977. It features over 2,000 feet of track and can operate as many as 20 trains at the same time. They are also a vendor of S-scale products.

This society received Sam Powell's layout which was donated to them by Sam's wife, Elaine. While Sam did not live in Pennsylvania, he modeled the Pittsburgh area, so it was a good fit the Society to take this project on. The Society has a number of S-scale modelers in its midst and in the area to help with the installation and operation of the layout. There have been a couple of articles published about the act of moving this layout, namely the September 2016 issue of the NASG Dispatch (pg. 32), the May 2017 issue of the Dispatch (pg. 22), and the July 2017 issue of the Dispatch (pg. 8).
