Notes:
The tank car kits, offered in one-, two-, and three-dome versions, consisted of a wooden tank (basically a large wooden dowel), wooden domes (shaped wooden dowels), and stripwood from which to construct the frame. No trucks or couplers were supplied. They were equivalent to the Strombecker wooden HO-scale kits of the late 1940s. The model in the photo, built by Kent Singer, has been heavily made over. Kent built the chassis pretty much per kit instructions, but added a lot of detail, such as rivet strips, steps, ends, safety placards, and brake gear. He also embossed thin styrene wrappers for the tank and domes, added tank bands, grab irons, handrails, ladders, dome top castings, and more. National Type B trucks are brass River Raisin imports. Decals are Champ/Enhorning. 6,000-, 8,000, and 10,000-gallon version available.

Notes:
One of the 1986 NASG "Special Projects" cars. The model was based on an American Car & Foundry 10,000-gallon two-dome, non-insulated, low-pressure tank car. The tank was compartmentalized so that two commodities could be carried at the same time. The models included the AB brake system installed. They were available with either scale coil-sprung T-section Bettendorf trucks, or AF-compatible Ace sprung-Bettendorf trucks with hi-rail wheels. 25 models were produced by Ajin of Korea, and imported unpainted.
