Arrival
If you are considering using Amtrak's train service to attend the NASG Convention, your rail destination is New London. The regional bus service, Southeast Area
Transit (SEAT), has its bus station in the Amtrak station in New London. This is "Route 1" on the
SEAT web site, which runs from New London to Norwich. The northbound
(NB) bus departs New London at the top of the hour, arriving at the stop nearest our Holiday Inn about 40 minutes later. Cost is about $2. On their web site,
be sure to select "Weekdays" or "Saturday" (no service on Sunday). The northbound (NB) stop closest to the Holiday Inn is in front of the local community
college, about 1/3 mile from the hotel. It is an easy walk for most. If you are unable to do the walk, contact us for a ride from that point to the hotel.
Departure
First, in your plans, please note that SEAT does not run on Sundays; you'll have to leave either early afternoon on Saturday (to catch the last train) or stay
until Monday. You will need to consult the SEAT's southbound (SB) schedule. The closest southbound bus stop is on the main drag east of the hotel.
Alternatively...
The hotel reports that many people arrive and depart using an Uber to travel between the train station and
the hotel and vice-versa.
