The structure measures 21-1/2". Although designed as a diesel house, it can be easily changed to a locomotive works facility, a car repair facility, or even a factory. It is 10" wide, and the track centers are 5-1/2" apart. The kit was re-run in 1992 with improved brick impressions (silk-screened matboard manufactured by "Scratch" Model Building Supplies).

The finished model is shown in these photos. Gaylord made the following changes to the stock kit: replaced printed paper stonework with cast plastic, replaced wood dowel/thumbtack vent with HO-scale plastic part, used scribed basswood around the tower instead of the suggested tarpaper, and added a working overhead light.
