The model was available with either 6- or 8-axle tender. Made by FM Models out of Korea, these were available as unpainted or factory-painted models. This project was initially announced by Oriental Limited. Then The Patch Corporation announced the product in 1988. However, in 1989, that company declared bankruptcy, leaving Omnicon to take it over and finally releasing it in 1989. A brief review can be found in the August 1989 issue of the Dispatch. A more in-depth review (of four samples) was included in the January 1990 issue of the Dispatch.
