Also imported at the same time were #345 and #346. These have a Maxon "Amax" motor. #40 (modeled as it was in 1940), #41 (modeled as it was in 1941), and #341 (modeled as it was in 1939) were advertised by P-B-L in the October 1988 issue of Model Railroader magazine. Photo #2 shows the original unpainted model. Both this run and the other one done in 2001 were manufactured by Samhongsa, Seoul, Korea. The 2001 run was also available as factory-painted, and as "foreground" model. Prototype info: #340 started its career as #400. It was sold by the D&RGW to Knotts Berry Farm in 1952, where it is still preserved.
