Friction bearing trucks. Also produced as SHS #00043 with roller bearing trucks. Both had a gray body color. Some of these may be unpainted, because they were made on special order for a vendor by S-Helper Service, but then the vendor never took delivery of them, so SHS sold them directly.

Also produced as SHS SHS #00507 (road number 143) and SHS #00508 (road number 103). All three models were the 2000 NASG Convention cars. The prototype of these models is an insulated wine tank car (tanks inside of a re-purposed reefer; no ice bunks). Bill's model shows the model upgraded with River Raisin brass trucks. Road number 143 is shown in the second photo by Ed Kirstatter.

Photo #2 shows road number 3759, which was SHS #00494. That car was also included in the three-car set SHS #00684, which included road numbers 4623 (Photo #3), 2609 (Photo #4), and 3759. There actually are differences between the cars that were sold individually (00493 and 00494) and those included in the set (00684), namely, the individual cars has green ladders, whereas the ones in the set were black; the individual cars had brown brake wheels, whereas the ones in the set were green; the individual cars had white reporting marks on the cars' ends, whereas the ones in the set had yellow reporting marks on the ends. So, once removed from their boxes, that's how you can tell them apart. Note that S-Helper Service also did a special run for Hoquat Hobbies (#01607 and #01608, road numbers 2640 and 4420, respectively). These were slightly different still, in that they had green brake wheels, green ladders, and brown trucks (all the other cars mentioned here had black trucks).
