This is the company's first resin freight car kit. It is a composite GS gondola used for carrying a wide variety of items, including sugar beets. The car was initially scheduled to be released as the 2011 NASG Convention car, but there were manufacturing issues, severe enough to cause the late Lee Johnson to pull the plug on the project. Pre-Size was able to obtain the original work, and continue the project to finally bring it to completion. The Southern Pacific built 1,500 of these G-50-20 and G-50-23 class cars between 1948 and 1949. The kit consists of a high-grade resin one-piece body, with separate under frame and inner floor. Includes weight, grab irons, ladders, full brake details, and decals. Does not include trucks or couplers.
