Are you interested in joining a group of "S" modelers in your area? If so, consult the list below to find a club in your area. Can't find a local group? Start one! All it takes is for one person to put out a "feeler".

If your S scale club has a schedule of upcoming events, and you would like for others to find out about those events so that they may visit and/or become members of your club, please forward your schedule to the NASG webmaster to be added to the Events page of this web site.

Disclaimer: the NASG cannot be held responsible for the content of external web sites. However, all links are routinely checked for suitability.

NASG Club Banner Program

The purpose of the club banner program is to provide, free of charge, an NASG 2 foot by 4 foot vinyl banner to any S club and association that requests it. If a club wishes to, it can add its club logo and website address to the banner at a cost of $25.00 per banner.

Since its inception in 2008, the NASG club banner program has distributed many NASG general banners to clubs, banners with combined club logo/NASG, and one general banner under special arrangements to an individual NASG member.

Copies of the banners are available from Greg Klein. To order your "S" club's banner, please print and fill out the Club Banner Order Form (PDF file). Examples are shown below.

NASG Publications

Please use NASG Publications Order Form to order NASG and manufacturer publications from the NASG's Promotions Committee for use at local activities and shows your club will attend.

The bottom of the flyer has small tear-off tabs with the club's contact person and information. Maybe this might serve as an idea or inspiration for your club to promote itself.

The San Diego S Gaugers club layout is currently located at Grossmont Center (shopping center), La Mesa, California. There are two window layouts, both activated anytime day or night with a single button, located on the window outside the storefront. The lights go on and the trains run for about 2 minutes. The main modular layout measures about 18' X 26' to fit our location and features two mainlines that are usually configured to operate one on A/C and one on DCC. Our switches are handmade and allow us to operate with both AF and scale wheels. Our track is S-Helper Service (now M.T.H.) flextrack. Videos of our layout can be viewed on our Facebook page and our website in the video section. The clubhouse is open to the public on Tuesday's and Saturday's from noon until 6pm.

The track is S-Helper Service/MTH flex track with American Models turnouts. The layout features many American Flyer operating accessories. The second layout is a modular (NASG standards) switching layout in an "L" shape, and measures 16.5'x6' at present. It uses code 125 and 100 track and will accommodate scale or hi-rail flanges except on the code 100 coal yard. It includes four manufacturers' turnouts. Narrow gauge track for Sn3, Sn42, and Sn2 is also on the layout.

The club also covers western North Carolina. Their layout is made of 4-foot aluminum modules than can make up to a 36'x12' layout. The modules are either 24" or 32" wide. They use solid track, generally S-Helper Service (MTH) and American Models for the outer mainlines with some code 100 Tomalco inside. They tend to run scale equipment, but can run some hi-rail and American Flyer. The modules have scenery which is generally to scale. They exhibit a large collection of 1/64 vehicles and aim for the 1950s era. A couple of the modules have Lionel, MTH, and AF operating accessories that are not scale but add lights and action.
